I'm in the market for a new bike and I was wondering if anyone has ordered or owns a Canyon bike. They seem very well specced for the cost and are probably well screwed together, what with them being German. I've been looking for something different from the usual Trek, Spesh, Giant and Ribble bikes and I like the look of these. Any help would be much appreciated.

This is the particular bike i'm looking to get......

I'm currently thinking the same thing and noticed this was posted last year. Would be interested to know how you got on.
    Cheers

It might not be of much help but: I think these bikes are awesome. The specs, the price, the looks.

If i was in the market for a bike again i'd get one of these.

AFAIK Canyon have no UK distributor at present - but website indicates they will sell you direct. They do have a reputation for being very stiff like a lot of German bikes - for the disadvantages of overly-stiff bikes watch Jimmy Casper descending the Kemmelberg at Ghent-Wevelgem a few years ago.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

It's the Kemmelburg man. Loads of riders came off going down that beast. Wasn't it a stray watterbottle he went over anyway?

Also Museeuw said that deep rimmed carbon wheels were part of the cause.
