Calling Nomad owners for their own 'review'

I've read a fair bit on the Nomad and it's all been good, but just wondered what an owners experience has been? In particular, how does it fare on drops and jumps? Or is it more for eating up rough ground?

My local trails incorporate a lot of drops and bombholes which mean bikes range from downhill to jump bikes, just wondering if the Nomad could take the constant bad landings from a 14 stone rider?

When I stray further afield i'd like a bike to be able to do some xc, so a downhiller is a bit overkill for me.

Any other comments (positive or negative) welcome.

Cheers peeps

  • demo'd a Nomad at Afan - great beast and IMO not too OTT for trail centres at all - lightweight (a touch under 30lbs) and a confidence inspiring machine on the downhills and quite happy to let you go back up again!

Mine is excellent, and performs well on or off road, especially with 4 panniers and a bar bag. Very little effect on the handling at all.

  • I just bought a good condition ex demo, so here's hoping it's a great bike. Sexy lime green too! Roll on Spain in 2 weeks!
