Anyone using or tried Merida floating disc before? Can give some comments about it please.

Problem of using the frame with floating disc is you have to change the hub to 10mm bolt thru - which is you have to change your hub to a 10mm axle hub. And what I know is the rear hub is 150mm size.

err without links we have no idea what you are on about.

But i have a feeling you are actually on about a floating brake and not a disc.

Floating brakes tend to be frame specific and dont fit all frames.

also they are meant to remove something that is debatable it it really exists.

Ah yes a floating disc BRAKE.

    Google for "Brake jack"

Looks like it is fitted to a Single pivot design (with link activated shock) and they are following on with the similar idea that Kona did (offer).

My thoughts if you want a bike that brakes like an FSR then buy an FSR. It makes a single pivot (with linkage activated shock) more complex (and heavier) for no real reason.
