Has anyone else noticed you can get insanely cheap new Fox forks from certain dealers in the USA, I stumbled across this ebay shop: Wheels and Sprockets

Here they are selling what looks like 2010 F120 RL's for $410 (about £246) Clicky

and here they have the same but with a tapered steerer for about the same amount: Clicky

But I noticed they have G2 and E2 fittings, am I right in thinking E2 is the tapered steerer and G2 has an offset crown? What does this offset crown mean, and are they no good for most of our frames?

Thanks... :?

then add import tax to the cost, then add VAT to the that cost, then the carriers handling charge and also that you will have no warrenty with Fox in the UK.

    Worth it?

  • plus it won't work on a UK bike

    wrong voltage

Beer in moderation ... is a waste of beer

If riding an XC race bike is like touching the trail,
then riding a rigid singlespeed is like licking it
... or being punched by it, depending on the day
  • I have lots of friends and family in the States, I was thinking I could just get one of them to buy it and send it over as a gift.

But yeah the lack of warranty would be a worry.

You still run the risk that customs might take a fancy to a package from your family and open it up and then charge you vat and import duty beofre you can get hold of the forks.
  • Ah ok good point, thanks for the information guys. Looks like I should scrap that idea!
