Skinny Schleck, Grim Kirchen, Laurent Didier and Jempy Drucker.

The country was sixth in World Classifications announced last month, allowing it to send nine riders to the World Championships, but the national federation chooses to compete with only four riders.

Jempy who? He's a cross rider and will benefit from the worlds as training for his winter season.

It does show the way of allowing each nation a quota can be skewed.

  • I think Christian surprised everyone when he popped to the surface in 2008 but since then he's just been floating around.

To be fair he's not exactly been flushed with success.

Apparently his form's gone down the pan
  • Well they have 72 registered riders but only 11 have teams at the moment. Of those, 2 ride for Saxo, 1 for Columbia, 1 for AG2R, 1 for Team Designa Kokken and 6 for Continental Team Differdange. So it is not exactly like they are spoilt for choice. Many of those guys would have trouble doing much at all probably.

Didier did well in the Nationals coming 2nd in the RR and 2nd in the TT. Other than that the only race worth mentionning is Tour of Normandie where he came 6th.

    Drucker has done basically nothing.
