Lakes locals....help required

Hi all.

A group of 14 are in Kentmere in a few weeks. I'm looking for a decent pub where we can eat on the way home....Staveley, Kendal....anywhere along the A590 towards the M6. Carvery would be great. Any suggestions??? Needs to be open approx 4pm on sunday.

The pub in Staveley doesnt serve food til 6pm, sadly.
