Is it possible to fully disassemble a X9 rear derailleur?

Hi guys,

Basically I've got one long cage X9 R/D with a mangled and twisted cage and one medium cage X9 R/D with knackered pivots (both 2006).

Basically I want to save money and bodge together the decent medium cage to the decent body so I've only got to buy one new R/D - is this possible? I don't think it is but fingers crossed....

I've taken apart the rear cages and removed the jockey wheels but I can't see how the half of the cage is attached to the derailleur body...

Cheers,
John.
