Anyone know where i can get hold of a replacement chainstay for my 06 Enduro? I am not the original owner so i assume the lifetime warranty isn't transferable, it didn't come with any paperwork anyway. I won't get a chance to phone around till the weekend so if anyone dose know where i can source one i would be grateful if you could let me know.
Am i right in thinking that it can't be welded? It has cracked on the left hand chainstay along the inside of the weld.

You should just email Spesh anyway and chance it.0 -
Definitely worth contacting Spesh and trying your luck. Have heard similar anecdotal tales of Specialized second owners getting replacement frames free or for next to nothing!0

I broke mine a few weeks back.
Sadly the spesh warranty is only lifetime on the front triangle. The rear is two years. My spesh dealer told me is was because people didn't change the frame bearings and it was causing frame frames.
Mine cost £95 fitted and is a lovely red colour, the rest of my frame is silver.0 -
This just happened to me today while my bike was i the shop getting some work done.
They are going to call Spesh and see what they have to say. I am hoping for a new or cheap chain stay replacement that isn't red :-).
Hopefully they replace it with the SX chain stay I have been reading about that is supposed to be more rugged.
How did you make out with Spesh? Did they do anything for you?
I'll post whatever they do for me for future reference.

If yours is an '07, isn't it an Enduro SL? The SX Chainstay won't fit. They're the same anyway.0 -
As above, call/email Spesh UK.. I broke a chainstay on my 2003 epic, they replaced it no worries through my LBS.. brilliant customer service, quick turnaround..
So long as they have the spare parts (which they usually do), they'll be fine with sorting you out another one.
If its any help, the replacement chainstay for the Epic set me back £30 ish.. well worth it0 -
lol funnily enough i had the opposite. I snapped the seat stay on my stumpy fsr and they (specialized diect, not through my lbs) didnt want to know. Rubbish customer service, the email i got was to the point of being rude. Mine had been polite up to that point, asking if there was anything they could do, not demanding they do something etc etc.
Still whatever customer skills they used must have worked as i bought an enduro as its replacement!!!http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7231/6933696372_603c9ce220_b.jpg
