Is the Kryptonite New York Standard lock the same as the Kryptonite New York 3000 lock?

Don't expect an instant reply, surely this would be better suited to the commuter forums. And isn't this a question you'd pose to the lock maker "Kryptonite" or the shop selling the item in question?

Ah, you're trying to charm us now, very subtle! That'll work.

I hope you do get an answer that helps, but starting out by dissing a reasonable comment is not going to win you any friends.
  • I'm sorry, please forgive me.

It's just that I did not want to think I had bought the wrong lock!

    Okay

I think the Standard is also known as the 3000, which probably refers to the $3000 theft guarantee. If you look on their web page they have 3 New York locks, the Standard, the LS (long Shackle?) and the Fageddaboutit.

    See here
  • Cheers.

The only reason I ask is that looking at the reviews on this site, there are two locks.

However it may be that they are the same, just different models from different years.

I think it was first called just the New York, then it was the 3000, then it was the Standard.
