Chain link sticking

Hi, I have bought a new Felt F4 with Ultegra. I was just riding up and down the street, checking the gears etc. Noticed a little jump now and again. After a closer look, realised the joining links seems a bit tight, so not straightening properley around the jockey wheel. I have tried flexing the chain a little laterally, (but daren't do it too much) but it still does it.
It is about 30miles to the shop where I got it from, and am reluctant for the long trek... but I don't want it to cause more damage.
Any suggestions.
Or am I being silly, and will it loosen off with a good ride?

Thanks

If you have a chain breaking tool and know how to use it, it will probably have a setting to open the link up by a small controlled amount. Fit the chain over the 'prongs' nearer the pin on the tool. In this picture, they are the exposed pins that are visible.

You may have to use it on both sides to keep the joining pin central.

Otherwise, careful lateral flexing can do it, but is harder to control.
