Having found that yet another lumicycle battery has mysteriously failed during the summer (that's three in seven years now guys), I've decided to get something with a little more quality and a lot less cost.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a reliable set of lights for a road bike that will give reasonable battery life and decent output (+/- 20w) for dark roads in winter.

Use the search facility at the top right to look for light threads ? In fact theres a sticky on the MTB buying forum.

I'd go for summat like a Fenix L2D - AA and enough light to see on the road and reasonable battery life. And about £40.

    Or the dealextreme copies.

Failing that - go the brighter MTE p7 torch - but that gives only an hours run time, but mega bright and £25 or so. (600 lumens or so ?)

Failing that = there is a P7 bike light out £50 or so with a 3 hour run time, but not many of us have played with it yet.
