Passed both bike and car first time. Car was around 10 to 15min whilst the bike was around 45mins in duration.

However I was lucky or maybe unlucky in a sense as I learned to drive cars, lorries and motorbikes when I was around 10 / 11 years old. (Benefit of the old man being a mechanic and a very, very large transport yard ).

By the time I was 17 I had got out of the "cab happy" stage so I didn't take my test until I was 19. I vivdly remember my first on the road lesson at 17. My old man took me into central London on a busy Saturday afternoon. Certainly took the cocky smile off my face. I also remember a problem with traffic lights. I didn't notice them.

  • I don't drive a car. I passed my motorcycle test on the second attempt. Does that count in this poll?
Let's close our eyes and see what happens
  • I have taken my (car) test three times and passed twice. For reasons I'm not very proud of.
  • Passed car test 1st time at 17 and motorbike test at 31, again 1st time (Early mid-life crisis possibly with the bike). 8)

Det. Insp. Jack Regan: I thought it was about time you made an intellectual contribution to this debate.
