I consider myself working class, and the people at work find it odd that I'm so into classical music. I just like it. I like Slayer too tbh, but for some reason they dont question that... :?
Anyway, I tend to whack on the classic fm in the mornings when I'm working on my own and the other week I heard some music I've never heard before. It was AMAZING!! I thought it was Philip Glass, but the choir was too medieval so when the geezer said who it was I scribbled it down and went to the shop the day after.
Couldnt find it. From what the presenter had said it was called "The Armed Man" and was by Bennedictus with Karl Jenkins conducting. I could not find a Bennedictus to save my life, LOL. HMV staff dont have a clue these days sadly so I didnt even bother asking.
After searching the web I realised "Benedictus" was a track name, not the composer.Jenkins was the cmposer. God classical gets so confusing sometimes LOL. Still, eventually I managed t get a copy finally this weekend and have had it on the cd player ever since. Amazing. He's kind of reworked some old folk tunes and stuff in there too. If anyone is into this stuff or likes Glass, etc then have a look on Youtube (I think Jenkins has a channel there)

Had a look on Yootoob, not sure, felt a bit like a zombie cult lecture on the evils of 24hr supermarkets. That and the walrus chops and the mauve satin blouses....
Anyway thanks for the tip. If you fancy something a bit trippy, a bit layered, a bit cosmic, try this.

www.spotify.com is a good place for these kinds of searches. Took me about 1 second to find that track after typing The Armed Man into the search field and the site allows me to hear the entire track. Thinking of Hovis bread adverts now...0

I think one of my old electronica contacts told me of him. :? I've messed with modular synthesis in the past, nothing quite like that sadly, but it was fun and the sounds and rhythms you can get are awesome!
Trying to think what that reminds me of. Pink Floyd did some stuff a tiny, tiny bit like that...www.spotify.com is a good place for these kinds of searches.
