Frame size advice, Orange P7 Pro

I'm looking to buy an Orange P7 Pro any day now, but since I don't live in the UK I will not get to try it out before hand. So I need advice regarding what size frame to get.
I'm about 5'11" and pretty proportional leg-wise, and I intend to ride rather rough forest trails, rather than fast XC, so I think a slightly smaller frame would be better than a too large one.
I'm choosing between a 17" and a 19", and leaning towards 17". Do you think that will work for me, or could it be too small?

Nobody knows apart from you - visit a dealer and try them out.0

Oh, you can't try it out.
Compare the geometry to what you do know.0 -
I've got a 17" frame but have shortish legs (29-30" inseem) a 19" was too big for me.

Yes, everything would have been much much easier if I could try one out. Trying to match the geometry figures to another bike seems like it will hardly be accurate enough to say much at all... But still, I have tried:
From what I can tell, Scott Scale 40 has a somewhat similar geometry and when I have tried them out I feel more at home on a medium, which would match a 17" Orange P7. But then the head and seat angles are different, the fork is taller on the Orange, and I don't know about the BB height, so it really is hard to tell. I would expect all of that to change the feel of the bike quite a bit.
So, most of all I'm interested to hear from people who own an Orange, and hear what they think. Anyone?
Another question, what is the distance from center of BB to center of top tube on a 17" or a 19"? That distance is not given on the Orange homepage, only the distance from center of BB to top of seat tube (which I find less interesting).0 -
I'm just short of 6 foot 2 and my P7 is a 19 inch. Seems to equate quite closely to my old 24 inch tourer which is a decent enough fit.
On that basis, my instinct would be that the 17 would fit you best.
BB centre to centre of top tube is 17 inch on a 19 inch frame (19 inch being the BB to top of seat tube). TBH, I'm not sure that matters much either way. I'd have thought that the effective top tube length was the most useful one there.
Hopefully Da Mighty can provide the relevant number for the 17 inch frame from part of his potential one day in the future might become an Orange P7 collection of mountain bike blingFaster than a tent.......0 -
I got the 17 as the 19 felt too big, all my previous bikes have been 190
