i dont know what brakes to fit on my commencal AI2. The standard mechanical disc brakes it came with have kind of lost there touch so im looking to replace them with a set of hydraulics... my only problem is i dont know what the best choice would be for a reasonable price? bearing in mind it is a jump bike, has anyone got any suggestions?

    On a budget the Deore.

Do you need hydros on a jump bike? Many prefer cable - cheaper to fix if go wrong or you break something. You may just need new pads.

Maybe a hydro v rear and a hydro disk front? Isn't that what all the cool kids do now? :D
  • the only reason i prefer hydraulics is because my old specialized P2 (which was stolen :( ) had them and i liked how responsive they were, this also brings around another question could changing to better break levers be an alternative?

If they're a bit stiff you might just need to change or lube the cables
