Anyone know if I could put new Shimano SLX disc brake calipers on the wavy rotors from my old Hope Mono Minis?? its 185mm front and 160mm rear which is the same diameter as the Shimano rotors so I assume its all down to rotor thickness.

Anyone know, had a Google about but can't seem to find anything.

  • I doubt that the rotor thickness is a problem.

fwiw I'm running Hope floaties with XTR calipers atm with no problems

  • Cheers Bomberesque, took the plunge on the SLXs yesterday not had time to fit them yet but rotor thickness is no problem.

offered them up and reckon if I use the the old Hope mounting adaptors (which adjust the usual IS position for the increased rotor diameter) they should be fine.

A set of pre-bled SLX brakes for £136 courtesy of Evans price matching Ribble's internet price, nice :)
