Err, aside from the fact that it's a sit-up-and-beg machine, I think that's quite stylish.
    "Impressive break"

How about the 2010 Trek District with no orange / grey to be seen? http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/ur ... ictcarbon/

It's the pairing of the curved top tube with the straight downtube that's bothering me. Oh and the straight every other tube for that matter! Also the saddle just looks like a large black thing landed on the bike, and the bars look pretty awful.

Here's how you do that kind of bike:

why do bianca paint their bikes that godawful colour?
  • WIYF
Bianchi bicycles are traditionally painted celeste" (pronounced che-les-te in Italian, Se-lest in English), a turquoise also known as Bianchi green, although there are other colours. Contradictory myths say celeste is the colour of the Milan sky, the eye colour of a former queen of Italy for whom Edoardo Bianchi made a bicycle - the crowned eagle of the company logo is an adaptation of the former royal crest - and that it was a mixture of surplus military paint. The shade has changed over the years, sometimes more blue, then more green.[2]

    that's no excuse. Looks horrid.

And here's their website to see it in motion! (But I still think Wallace's beats this. And all the dual-sus MTBs, goes without saying! )

Saw this at Eurobike, 30mins and 10k frightened the bejezus out of me you sort of perch on it!

    No no no no nooooooo!

The blue thing is a cruiser bike. Cruiser is American for heavy, slow, bad handling BSO that is only marginally quicker than walking but will leave you wondering where to put the damn thing where it won't get nicked but at least if it does and you see the thief a brisk walk will let you catch him up and he'll be too puffed after having pedalled it for two minutes to resist you taking it back.

True, the Bianchi does have a slightly awkward top tube - ought really to curve into the seat stays which shouldn't be so obviously thinner but at least it is a proper bike. And whilst the saddle on the Bianchi is a bit fat, it looks better than that thing on the BSO which for some reason appears to come with its own condiment set.

I had a bike with a top tube like that . I'd crashed it into a steel post.

I'm aware it's a cruiser, it's a GT Kustom Kruiser Impala to be precise. And yes, it's heavy and slow, but handles OK for something so long. Check the 'old commuter' link in my sig... :D

But it is sure as hell prettier than that bianchi!

The Bianchi is warming on me in a "retro" sort of appreciation way...

Bad girl - no surrepticious bigging up of one of your own bikes - and in your own thread too. You should be ashamed

It's not the same - mine's a 'glide deluxe'! But I do think it's a prettier example. If you're going to have curvy tubes go whole hog!
