ive decided to build a kinesis pha5e so want a 150mm fork. ive noticed on crc that they have got a bunch of older marzocchi forks available for good money.

this is the one im thinking of: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... delID=8343

am i right in thinking the older marz forks were good and more importantly, reliable? if so, does anyone know owt about these, ive read a few reviews on mtbr and they look like a good bit of kit so i may well buy em

and I don't know sheeps. I was going to say 04/05 but that's really a guess. I have 03 JrTs and they've been OK, but that's really no indication of overall brand reliability.

2006-2007 were the last years. 2008 was where thing were noticeably off.

the AM were a mix... i would go for it as you can play with the internals and change it if you want.

  • erm...I thought you wanted a lightweight, nice riding 110-120mm travel Steel HT?!

the pha5e is a 130-150mm travel frame that is and I qoute "the stiff side of stiff".... and its not steel....

Oh yeah, I forgot to say, the pha5e is one of the stiffest frames ever.

    erm, ok stalker.

i did want a steel frame, but i have saved up a big pile of money tht i am going to spend on a pha5e now, hope you dont mind. i also figured that in all of the situations i would ride the steel bike, i would prefer my stumpy most likely.

i know exactly what a pha5e is, i did some research. if you want to look through some more of my posts you will find i have confessed to always hankering after one in the past.
