Mega avalanche

I am thinking of doing the mega avalanche and wondered if anyone could offer advice on the sort of training both on and off bike I should be doing

  • Well, it's an hour long race (depending on your speed of course) so I'd have thought some endurance would be a good bet. There's about a 10k flattish bit at the end on tarmac so I'd get good at that as well if I were you.

    Bike related training - Make sure your handling skills are up to scratch, and that you can sit down and pedal for long periods of time.

    Non bike related training - Endurance, aerobic capacity work (intervals).
