On saturday I did a 75 mile ride to my sister in laws (big ride for me).

I was about 4 hours too early (wife & kids still at home), so I stopped in Upton to get my haircut & took it a lot easier on the final 5 miles to Longdon. Not 100% sure what happened but at 20-25 mph my jacket with a P7 torch in the pocket got caught in the front wheel. It broke both front forks & pitched me off.

I put up a good fight but I think the road won, 2 cars stopped and couldn't have been more helpful. They organised an ambulance, my in laws, ensured I kept pressure on the wounds and kept me company whilst I waited. Nearly every car that went past stopped to check if they could help. The people were that helpful and I was that below par I didn't get anyones name & have therefore sent an email saying thanks to everyone to the local paper who I hope will print it.

Still feel very 2nd hand, sick of people looking at my face, unable to sleep (which is really getting me down now), good news is I have just spent an hour on some work which I doubt I would have got done in a full day at work!

Jeez!... I bet that got your attention!

Seriously, though, I hope you recover soon and get back on the wheels...
