A ridge of high pressure is bringing generally fine weather to southern China. Meanwhile, an area of low pressure over the central part of the South China Sea is bringing showers to the region.

At 10 a.m., Tropical Storm Dujuan was centred about 550 kilometres south of Tokyo. It is forecast to move northeast at about 25 kilometres per hour across the seas south of Japan.

Weather forecast for today

Fine and very hot. Light to moderate east to northeasterly winds.

Outlook : Hot tomorrow, some showers in the latter part of the week.

Currently 32.7 degrees, 55% humidity.

Just as a weather-based aside - does anyone know of a decent forecast site (or a decent as you can get)? I'm off to Skiathos next week and have seen one forecast that says it'll be a scorcher and one that says it'll wazz it down...
