Had a really good experience with Maxxis today. I tore a sidewall out of one of their tyres the first time I used it in Afan. I dont recall hitting a rock, but it did look like rock damage. Just sent them a photo of the thing more in hope than anything else.

this morning I received a brand new replacement with their compliments.

Nice to see a company that still care about their customers and I will certainly be using them again :D

    Did you have to send the tyre back? If not, keep sending them the pic until they figure it out.. lol.
  • They did ask for it, but commented that there was little use for it so had binned it!

    Good idea though...

    Its that sort of activity that prevents companies from wanting to give superb customer service, such as this example from Maxxis.

    i had a dagger shape pece of shale pierce my ADvantage at Brechfa
    the thing is tho this piece of shale must of been crafted for hunting lol, it went through tyre and both sides of intube and was still in innertube when i took tyre off-bizarre, but i know it would have gone though any tyre so doubt its worth claiming or trying to blame maxxis.
    i was gutted tho cos its such a good tyre and hadnt had it long
    Dont look at it-ride it! they are tools not f*cking ornaments
