Hi i used to have a cannondale chase 2 2004, i think it was called 2 :?
well i think it was about 2 years ago now, i sold it, and now i regret it
tried looking on ebay for the same bike but cant find it, it was the bike that had a black frame and a little white stripe and cannondale in massive letters under the down frame, if thats what its called, i think its called down frame though, i want another bike soon that i wont use much for jumping about like i did years ago, but will mainly be street riding and doing some cross country and some riding over epping forest, but i used to do all that kind of riding on my cannondale so i think the same bike again would be good, or one like it
can anyone give me any advice on what bikes to buy? it needs to be an old bike, it cant be new because i cant afford new, i can afford new but if i bought new the bike i get would be no good unless i got an excellent deal on a good bike
thank you

A hardcore trail bike will be fine, something like my voltage (silly little bike below) you can ride it all day, if you put a very long seatpost in... run with 1X9 gears would be perfect (i run mine as a singlespeed because of the use i give it) other frames i'd consider would be something fun made of steel. A summer slacker or a 24-70

that is a nice bike you have, how would i know what size bike i need, when i had my chase i just went by sizes medium and large, i had a large, so forgot all about numbers
how much are them bikes going for by the way? are you selling that one or something? My blog: http://kevincampbellsblog.blogspot.com

It's lovely, I am selling it once i get the wheels built up for my inbred, how tall are you, you'd need to be around 5'6" to get away with using it as a play bike. I'm 6' and even with a long post fully extended i can only just keep my feet on the pedals as it cranks over the top sat down! I'd put gears on too if you'd prefer.
If I were you i'd look for something a bit more ridable though. Size will be height related.... Find some bikes you like, something like a specialised p series would be perfect, they ride beautifully! Then try them in a few sizes.0 -
