any of you thought about plotting and uploading google earth kmz files?
i used to have nice route layout for the castel coch and cwm carn areas, its a brilliant way to share data on routes/features etc.
so easy to draw the routes and add vital info.
i think i lost the kmz file when my hard disk died but i'm gonna try and find a backup or remake it.
it would be great to see others doing the same.
i see the idea has become more popular now, especially with the google earth web browser plugin, so you can tour the routes in 3d without leaving the website.
a good example here:

anyone else think its a valuable idea for a thread?

I do all my tracks through Nokia Sports Tracker and upload to their site (see my sig). Those are exportable to Google Earth files (and they use Google Maps anyway to map them).

I've been trying to overlay them on OpenCycleMap but don't really understand how it works.
