did anyone else get a little tear in thier eyes watching the king peaty win the world champs, watching him be crowned put on the stripes,,,
if that wasn't emotional then the interview after,,,,

warner was nearly crying, peaty was crying, i wasnt but it made me think wot an achievement it is and if id finally won somethin after coming so close so many times id be tears. mind you he wasnt as emotional as graves or buchannen0

same, especially watching that interview with Warner afterwards. The fact that they were both nearly in tears, but so relieved that he's finally done it.
Best of all was that after all this time he deserved it so badly and it couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke. Not only that but the fact that he didn't win because any of the other contenders fell or weren't competing. He was just the best on the day.Eyes on the prize.0 -
I haven't said in all the other threads, but yeah, I got more than a tear there. Warner's interview. I will never forget that. That was perhaps the most genuine slice of sportmanship we will (I will) ever see.0

I managed to watch it live (actually on at a semi-decent time here, finished ~11 pm) and thought it was a great great race as I watched it unfold. Very chuffed for my fellow doctor 8)0
