My elixirs need to have the pads replaced so i'll be doing it tomorrow but i was wanting to know how do you know when you need to bleed them?
As i'll be bleeding them myself IF they need it i have been looking at the guide to bleed Avid brakes in the workshop section but where the cable joins the caliper its differant to the juicy 5's they have used in the guide. My Elixirs dont have a bleed screw so how do i do it?
Also What is a good pad to buy as i have seen sintered, organic and something else i cant remember what they are off the top of my head. I'd like them to be a little more powerfull but i dont want to be changing them every month as the original pads that are on the bike and came with it are only about 6 weeks old.

The bleed screw on the caliper is in the middle of one of the two bolts that hold the caliper together. Its like a bolt with a little T10 torq's bit in the middle."Pain is temporary, success is permanent"0
