I dont ride downhill, but am full of emotion after wartching the (recorded) world cup DH. From everything that I`ve ever read, Peaty deserves this so much - for his professionalism, skill & never-say-die attitude alone and coming across as a genuine likeable down-to-earth person.
Congrats to the big lad.
Perhaps MTB might get 5 secs of exposure in the UK now !

Why are MTB economics; spend twice as much as you intended, but only half as much as you wish you could afford? :roll:0 -

Amazing result!!!0 -
not just amazing race, but amazing career, he will always be the king of DH, whats he now, 32?, some riders start whinging that their "bodies cant do this anymore" or whatever in their late 20's?! Well done steve, keep it up!0

Now 35! Truly brilliant ride, its also nice to see that he effectively won the race by being best in the technical section up top, not just being able to pedal the fastest!"Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0

Absolute legend, brilliant ride which finally ticks the last box in his outstanding career.Adam.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
Current ride - Yeti ASR 5a X00 -

I watched the Worlds yesterday on repeat then went out for a ride - hammered the downhills on my hardtail - I reckon I could have taken him!
So, whilst the mdeal should have been mine, I will give him a big hurrah for the effort. Same again next year?!Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.0 -

"This man is so calculating, me makes Socrates look like he had learning difficulties"
"It's a good thing this chair has suspension"
"This Water! It's going straight through me" - Whilst clearly pissed.
"Fuuuuuucking Pedal!!!!"0 -
I liked "I knew you had it in you, you fu*ker"0

If they crossed the line at about 10 m/s, then peaty won by... 50cm.0
-
Sonic, you need to get out more.0

Wasn't the world's hardest calculation ;-)
But 50 feckin cm!0 -
A win is a win. 50cm will do me!0

Just watched the re-run, that was an awesome effort! He was unbelievable in that top section!0
-
I liked the interview, " you really got caught at the bottom". "I was fastest in both splits...and won... I'm happy with that". True legend.
