If so were they an upgrade and what is the verdict?
I have them on my possible list as getting good reviews everywhere. They will be situated on my Kuota Kebel for reference.....
Thanks in advance,
Pete.

Yep. Upgrade from Mavic Aksium. They are stiff as a nympho on viagra, which is a good thing. Roll beautifully, light and if i can't flex them out of the saddle on a climb then they are worth every penny.0

I have the Ascent II's. Aren't they pretty much the same as the newer EA90? Great wheels no complaints and light enough to keep me happy0

I have some EA90 SLX (2008) - have done 2000km on them this year from new and I really like them - great hubs, light, good to ride and have remained perfectly true over all the rubbish roads I ride on. Have just bought some Open Pros on Hope Hubs for the winter as I don't want run them through another winter (summer only!). The Eastons were a massive upgrade over the wheels that came with my bike.

Have EA90 SL and tehy are a very good light and strong wheel, perfectly true after >1000 miles and on some poor survaces. BIg upgrade performance over Campag / Mavic Pros previous. But I do try to keep tehm for best occasions only, and as Scottie have bought some Hope Pro3 / Open Pros which I would also rate very highly, not as fast as teh EA90 SL but better than the Campg Open Pros-- have reamined very true after rough road use0

I have a new set of EA90 SLX's... superb wheels. Not had them long, I specced them on my new bike. They look fantastic and ride brillliantly!Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0

I went for EA90 Aero, but pretty disappointed with the R4 hubs. The preload, which is a very handy way of adjusting the bearings keeps coming undone.
I've contacted Easton about this, and they sent me some o-rings, to replace some which they say may have worn.
Well I can't see any o-rings in the hubs despite complete disassembly. After about 30 miles I have to stop and tighten the preload as I get brake rub due to movement of the wheel around the hub.
Really pretty disappointed, as when they're working they are great wheels.Weather info: http://www.staydry.me.uk0 -
And one of the alloy nipples failed causing me to phone to the wife for rescue 40 miles from home.
Just been Googling and my problem with the R4 hubs is not unique.Weather info: http://www.staydry.me.uk0 -
When I was buying my Fulcrums the Eastons were also a possibility but I discarded them due to the hubs. They are supposed to be good wheels on the whole though!x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

Not had a problem yet with my Easton hubs. I'd happily recommend them to anyone.
Bear in mind that not much good news gets put on forums, but as soon as there's an issue loads of people complain.0
