Whilst watching the Tour this year I had the misfourtune of having by hire car broken into and my bags stolen. I have just managed to get them back, which is great, but I have a few items still missing, which I'm not too suprised about. One of the things still missing is a Saxo Bank jersey which I bought just before I went. Question is, do I get a new one? It's a great jersey, really comfortable and I like the design, I have the matching shorts too, but it kinda reminds me of how sick I felt when i got back to the car.

And also I'd like to recommend the hotel we were staying at when the whole thing happened. They collected the bags from the Police station and held onto them until a someone could pick them up. Really great people and a great place to stay. And don't panic, the area isn't some crime hotspot, think it had more to do with the Tour being in town.

If you still like it, and as the shorts would probably not get used, I'd get another one. If you'd simply lost it I suspect you would get a new one, wouldn't you? Don't let the thieving scumbags get to you. Enjoy.

  • ..yes..get a new one....
  • Think your probably right, but they seem to be tricky to get hold of now. The only place I can find them in my size in on the Saxo Bank website. Although the "Schlecky" Luxembourg National Champs jersey look pretty good too...
  • the Schlecky shirt is nice...but my 38in waist sets me apart from the Schleck brothers...
  • Yeah, I'm not sure I'm going to be mistanken for Schlecky either, my teeth aren't that big!

+1 to that - the Luxembourg Champion's jersey is a good 'un, more interesting than the plain SB kit.

  • OK, the National Champs jersey has been ordered, so if anyone see's "Schlecky" and thinks he's let himself go a bit, he hasn't, it's me!
