I have always used 170 cranks and tend to cycle with a higher cadence on lower gears, would changing to 175 cranks make any difference? I am 5'5 if that is a factor to be taken.

Shorter cranks are generally prefereed for higher cadence.
My bet is you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.0 -
Hmm, thanks Supersonic will have to think about it. After all these years I feel this will be one of my bigger changes. Anyone else got a view.0

Yeah - that web link is BS - apparently I should have 158mm cranks and ride 175 with no noticed problem I dont think its science I think its more he has taken his crank arm length and divided it by his inside leg to get a constant that he is then applying to everyone.
175/170 you wont notice the difference I cant see - I tried both in deore cranks with same chain rings and cant notice the difference ona short ride.Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.0
