The car is back in the garage and I was really looking forward to a ride this weekend :(

Was planning on hitting somewhere in north wales or going across the hills to yorkshire.

Bloody thing, can't purchase new cranks till i've got the bill yet either - just in case :(

  • You dont actually need a car to ride a bike Benj, you could just go for a ride?

Or take a train to where ever you want to ride.

I didn't read your car probs previously but presumably its gonna be pricey!
    Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.
  • hehe!
Its my GF's fault... drove to Cardiff at the weekend and it fecked up then...think a tappet went bye bye :(

Just looked on CRC and I can't order my cranks anyways, the middleburn 8/9sp chainring isn't in stock till 18th sept :(

Oh the joys of cheap cars!!

That's what happens when you have to drive all the way to Cardiff from Lancashire just for a shag! Bin her off and get a local model.

mine just passed its MOT again! just needed brake pads.....

remembered to do the wipers last week though...got the front pair for £6...bosch ones too!

not bad for a car made in 1994......that cost me £500 3 years ago!

totally got away with the emissions though.....lovin toyota engines.....I know for a fact that there is very little core left in the cat (it blew all the deadening out of the back box.....and rattles when you give it a shake)...the rear exhasut section was changed not long ago as i think the cat core was blasted through it and wiped out some of the deadening

another year of banger-economics wins again!

    Like driving, hate cars!

The van, (a Vauxhall Movano T reg of all things!) has been more reliable than any car I've ever owned!

What I hate about cars is knowing how to fix a reasonable amount of stuff ...which doesn't sound like sense, but when a DIY repair is about a quarter of the cost of a garage repair, you have to do it yourself, which I'd prefer not to...
  • bigbenj_08 - I feel your pain...

My car is slowly starting to die. I've had to replace 2 sections of exhaust now... :?

And I need to get some 'E-metal' or Thortex, if anyone knows what it is, to 'repair' my sills... As I have no welder, nor any access to a welder, so am just gonna make them look solid, lol.

    Bloody cars...

Although, on the up-side, I have a brand new bike to ride! Wohoo!
