.......is awesome.

I broke my Fizik Carbon railed saddle at the weekend while racing at the 12:12 - we won the mens team even for Torq.

One of the rails cracked on a short fire road climb and I know I hadn't knocked the saddle in any way so was pretty sure it was a manufacturing issue. I bought it in June. While on that point I have never had an issue with Fizik product and think they are great.

I sent an email to Wiggle where I bough the seat from and prepared myself for a bit of a battle to get a replacement. I immediately received a reply to say they would look at it as soon as it arrived.

Now in actual fact I'm a fairly reasonable XC rider who really takes care of my kit, but for all they knew I could have been an 18st monster who had bolted on to a 8" travel rig and hammered the life out of it.

They received it yesterday and on the very same day I received a mail from them to say not only were they sending out a new one straight away to me, but they had also refunded the postage cost for me sending it back to them.

I thought this was well worth of a mention.

Cheers Wiggle!

Can't go wrong with that. I like wiggle, buy a lot from them but their prices are not as competative as they used to be.

It's strange really but hoping to get that 10p back of haribo is enough to make me order from them rather than another site (assuming the product is proced the same).

Made two orders on wednesday night, de-selected the priority option but both turned up this morning complete with haribo - can't ask for more than that. 8)

My mate sent back 2 tyres that were a year old that had managed to get serious side wall rips - I know, sounds ridiculous, but they had spent a year in his garage hung up, he put them on the bike, and on the first ride they were pretty much destroyed.

He was refunded for the tyres and his postage.

That's not great customer service, that's stupid business sense, lol.
  • I bought a bottle opener from Wggle and inside the parcel was a small packet of bike bits and pieces. :)

Would he spend money with them again though?

Well, they price match (recently got Shimano MO76 shoes for £49 instead of £63, just email them to ask) and if you subscribe to the newsletter you get a £5 off voucher on a £50 spend, furthermore, every time you change your newsletter preferences you get another £5 voucher, so you can get the best customer service as well as the best prices  (and sweets and bottle openers, and referral vouchers - just got one for £58 ).

I know where you're going, but refunding year old tyres because they had sidewall rips? Do they refund year old tyres when the treads a bit worn as well? I still think its ridiculous.

I presume that their approach to customer service is in part responsible for their success, it isn't as ridiculous as you may think. They build up great customer loyalty, it has certainly worked with me, and they get an unhealthy proportion of my disposable income

You very rarely see any negative comment about Wiggle (and even the negatives are trivial), this differs greatly from some other online retailers, this reputation is probably worth a lot.

If you refer a friend (anyone who hasn't shopped with them before), they get a free pair of triple lens DHB glasses, the referrer gets a voucher worth 10% of their initial spend. I referred my son, he bought a bike, I got a £58 voucher, he got the glasses, except he emailed them and asked if he could have 2 pairs and they said yes :) Really, they are exceptional!

Let me know if you want me to refer you :) Its a free service I provide to anyone who wants it!
  • About a month back I ordered 2 x Panaracer Rampage tyres. No bottle opener, no Haribos..
    I honestly feel somewhat neglected..

*Off to CRC to place a revenge order for under £10*
