Just got back from the pub, where conversation turned to pro cycling and the question as follows:
Regardless of explanation, or need for justification, or others opinions, or who has been nailed for doping, or who may have doped and without any come back on your answer at all, who (just a name) is your favorite rider of all time?

Stephen Roche. He only had two or three really good seasons but he was pure class. His riding style was silky smooth and was like watching ballet on a bike (if that doesn't sound too gay).
