does anyone know what "action" applecross community council is planning i dont want a repeat perfomance of etape caledonia.

I don't think the Community Council themselves are officially planning anything, but as i understand it the chairman of the Applecross Community Council has warned the organiser that some member(s) of the local community (not necessarily members of the community council) who feel strongly on the matter may take the decision to take "direct action" - that is as much information as there is. It may not be anything at all or it could be a repeat of the etape caledonia incident although I personally think that unlikley. I guess the chairman is just saying that there are people who feel very strongly about it and that in his opinion he can foresee the possibility that those people may choose to sabotage the event in some way???. I don't know more than that.
