difference in tyres???

whats the difference between folding tyres and ordinary ones? also, what are the benefits of folding tyres?

    Folding tyres have kevlar beads and are lighter. They arw worth the extra.

    Some models may have better rubber compounds and casings too.
  • Well folding tyres are foldable and normal ones arnt, Folding tyres are usually lighter than normal ones. You can also take spare tyres on a ride if there folding if thats what you want to do.

    Not really, some folding tyres do have thinner sidewalls (Nobby Nic & Racing Ralph for example) but if you get the right tyres for your trails & riding style then you should have no problems

  • Just been out for my first ride with a speed king on the back that is the folding version.No punctures and i was riding throught bridle ways with thorn bushes etc.
    I can't see any strength issues apart from the one andy b has mentioned. They are a little thin :lol:
