Hi I am 50 next year and I would like to do one of the grand tour etape's. I have seen details of the etape de tour de France but nothing on any of the others. I understand that getting into the the etape France is very difficult and expensive so I am looking for any advice/contacts to enter either France or any of the others. Any advice greatfully received.

Thanks,

Derek

  • You could always start of with the Etape Caladonia in Scotland. Not as exciting as the TDF Etape, but hey, gotta start somewhere!! Plus the countryside it goes through is pretty beautiful. Just watch out for the tacks!!

  • Hi Derek
I'm 53 and did my first Etape this year. It can be as expensive as you want, I got an entry only place from one of the tour operators for €190 and drove down and camped 2k from the start which was excellent. Someone at the campsite cycled down!
  • Thanks for the reply's, do you hace contact details for the company you booked through?
