less discount.

But to the question why does it have such cheap and in a number of reviews 'not fit for purpose' tyres :?:

I've had to buy some conti GP 4000 chili's to replace them.

That way they can offer all of the shiny bits that catch your eye and keep it in budget.

Don't worry about the colour - that is the coolest current Bianchi colour scheme. Has a bit of celeste but without being the cliche of full celeste. If only they still did them in plain black with celeste lettering!

    All black - drool.

    Now I'm almost disappointed.

Finding a second bottle and cage is like gold dust - got them but I think expensive, such is love.

Are the tyres not by Michelin? Surely Michelin don't produce tyres for road bikes that are not "fit for purpose"?

sorry £10 vittoria zaffiro ones, googled them to get v. mixed reviews, but generally not great in wet, and quick wearing.

Makers have certain price points to hit.
Tyres are a common way to save a few quid.
The other area they save money is on wheels which are mostly own branded to cover up the real far eastern manufacturer

Hope you wore the old tires out before getting rid of them.

I wouldn't say Zaffiros aren't fit for purpose. They're not great, but they are probably one of the best tyres you can get for £10.

    Personally I'll stick Krylion Carbons/Vittoria Open Corsa/Pave

Agreed on the Zaffiros - I used them all last winter for a good few hundred miles without a single puncture, folding and lightweight as well. Two tyres and two tubes from DH Cyclesport in Southampton - £20 posted - result!
