I'm debating with the missus.

I don't wear anything under my bibs as I've always been told it's a bad idea and the way to avoid "chaffing". She's just taken up cycling and is arguing that going commando is not the way for her.

So question is are either of us right or is it truly Different For Girls?

Tell her about the discomfort she could suffer, and the lack of carnal contact you'd lose cause of it too. 99% go commando though there is one forumite who wear knickers, as she calls them, under her shorts. Though that won't help your argument against. You could let her find out the hard way.

I suggest instead, you re-plant her lady-garden with cactus, nettles and chillies.
She'll find it easier to cope with after a long ride.
