Currently running SRAM Force 52/39, I need to change to compact, how do I know what chainset is compatible? What do I need to look for? What does GXP BBNIB ISIS English etc mean? Could anyone explain which specs are relevant and what I should look for? Is it a big job?
Thanks

All chainsets are compatable, they are not groupset specific. Most chainsets today use outboard bearings, Hollowtech is Shimano and Ultratorque is the campag system, the bearing cups which are specific to the manufacturer have to be purchased seperately but are not expensive. Chainreaction are currently selling FSA compact chainsets at low price which I believe include the bearings.

Provided you have the correct tools they are straightforward to fit. You will need to lose a link from your chain and to lower the front mech, but instructions for doing this are on the Park Tools website or anyone here can advise you.
