Belt drive retrofit

I am excited by the idea of belt drive on my commuter hybrid but the choice seems to be limited to the Trek Soho at the moment. Is it possible to retrofit a belt drive to any hub gear bike?
Thanks,
Mark

You need to have a cut in the frame (normally near the dropout) to fit a belt on the bike as the belt is one peice unlike a chain which you can take apart to fit. If you look at the soho you can see that the frame comes apart near the dropout and is bolted together.

Thanks for that. It looks like the same bolt on bit is used to tension the belt as well, To retrofit would require some fairly precision cut and weld work - beyond my level of accuracy!
