of the vuelta - but only because of the crashes, something makes me think that otherwise coverage would have been zero

Unfortunately that's also the only thing my non-cycling mates are interested in when I tell them I watch the cycling on telly.

It's understandable in a way. I know I only ever watch F1 to see if they all stack it on the first corner... if they all get around OK, I go and watch some paint drying instead.

Same here, at work today the Vuelta was mentioned for the first time, but only for the crash yesterday.

To be fair - I've only looked up the crash of the bloke falling off the start ramp and the big pile up yesterday.

I was shocked I had to turn my tele off so it didn't spoil the result, then I thought something crazy must have happened so I looked it up anyway. I'll still watch tonight though, but I don't like watching the crashes, they make me wince.

Motorsport crashes are ok though :D

I must be getting boring in my old age. I watched the entire GP on Sunday including build up, first time in years I've done that. Granted the race was pretty boring, but I actually quite enjoyed the build up, talk about tactics, techie bits on tyres, track info and stuff.

I used to like seeing crashes, but now I just get a sick feeling, I think it's after breaking a few bones myself now and knowing what the pain is like for the first few days!
