I'm a 42.5 in Shimano, a 41.5 in Specialized and a 43 in Diadora. What size am I likely to be in Northwave bearing in mind that I'm looking for a shoe for winter?

Thanks.

I would say the same as Specialized based on 47's in both fit me exactly the same, but they may vary lower down, and 47 in Shimano isn't anywhere near big enough.

Thanks. I'm trying to get a good winter boot (for cheap), but its bloody difficult when I've got no idea what size I am. Just had to send back a Diadora Chili in 42 that was only £60 and now I can't find any in a 43

Just a point to note- I got my first road shoes a few weeks ago - some natty white red and black Northwaves. Fit me quite well but I have wide feet. Shimanos were unwearable - far to narrow. So, if you fit Shimano, you might find Northwave too wide.

I say I take a 42.5 in Shimano, but I've never actually owned a pair. 42 are too small, 43 too big so I'd be a 42.5 if anywhere actually sold such a size :?

The only shoes I have that really fit well are a pair of Cannondale mtb shoes (they seem to be one of only a handful of manufacturers that do half sizes) and some Bontrager road shoes. Neither make winter booties unfortunately.

    I've gone for a 42 as a 42 in Northwave is apprently around a 43 Shimano.

American sizing tends to be bigger/wider than European or Japanese, in general. So I would tend to agree with the above poster who said that they are more likely to be closer to Specialized than any of the others.

I'm a 43 in normal shoes/trainers and have 45's in both Northwave and Specialized shoes.

Well if you're saying Northwave are the same as Specialized that's good, but I find Specialized shoes on the large side.
