Is not recommended in strong cross winds.

I found out the embarrassing way  in Greenwich Park  whilst taking a swig from my water bottle.

Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.
  • Try cycling no handed and high-fiving someone coming the opposite way at 18mph, by jove it hurts

But where's the fun in that?
  • I agree. I almost found out in a deadly was last week. Thank God there was no other traffic.

I swear, it was the quickest and sharpest change of direction I have even made.
  • One hand on the handlebars, one hand slinging a banana skin into the hedge going downhill at about 25mph is also a bad idea.
Cue unimaginable speed wobble which I only just recovered from.
Suppose it was Karma for chucking a banana Skin...

I thought this was going to be a por soul asking for advice after losing their hands in a bizarre gardening accident.

    Am I morbid?

    How would they brake?

Tightening your Aheadset whilst riding also a bad idea. Applying torque to the steering tube with an allen key makes you go less straight than before.

TBF, the thought did cross my mind. That's why they invented unicycles, right? Or back-pedal brakes on BMXs?

Good call, although now I'm going to start doing the old 'apparently unicycles were invented by a cyclist who lost both his hands in a bizarre insert benign activity here accident'

Dutch (?) style back pedal brakes.

Gear changing and steering may also be a problem, although no dounbt some wil lsay that this is another argument in favour of s/s bikes
