Come on let's apply the pressure.
He owns a small arsenal of bikes, rides 100miles as a warm up. Has willingly ridden to London from Wiltshire. He's built a TT bike. Where/what next?
The next step is carbon.
It's time ITB. It's time.

Well according to the 'Silly Weight Loss' thread IT Boffin should buy a steel frame to support the amount of food he eats!

Nice choice with the Ti tho, certainly the ideal material for someone on such a high mileage - there was a gorgeous "naked" Ti frame @ GB Cycles last time I was in there.......hmmm......why on earth you'd paint one I don't know!!0 -

My dad had one of them in the 90's when they were cool again, not comfy but did the job. I wonder if you can still get them.

Hmm, the lightest of those is actually pretty light. Not far off the weight of a normal tyre/tube/rim tape combination.
I want to try a set now.0 -
Not sure what the new ones are like to fit but the first incarnation of the green tyres were a ba$tard to fit as there is no give in the tyre atall, the technique needs lots of washing up liquid. Took 2 men 20 minutes of struggling and swearing to get one tyre onto an mtb rim. From reports back from the rider the rolling resistance is high, you pedal downhill and freewheel for all of 20 feet before having to pedal again and worse than normal tyres on white lines and wear to a nice square profile.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

Yeah I found that site though a review site that said it was like riding with flat tires. Good for an MTB/tourer though I spose, would fancy the drag on my road bike, also my dads old one killed his rear wheel.Saracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame

On a mountain bike, I'd want enough squish in my tyres to be able to corner/grip stuff properly.
Road bikes would be the logical place where you'd put them (if you'd put them anywhere - I'm not especially convinced), given as people seem to inflate their tyres to high enough pressures that they may as well be solid.0 -

The new ones have little bubbles in to make them like real tyres and as a resulf they're too soft, like MTB tyres, rock hard punture proof rubber would be great.
From the website
Greentyres are produced from one piece of micro-cellular polyurethane. There's no inner tube, only millions of tiny air cells that give Greentyres a comfortable and puncture free ride.Saracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame
