Well got my new Tricross and it is lovely. Much faster than MTB, getting used to the Tiagra gears, still change the wrong way though!! But getting there. Got most of the stuff fitted, new Shimano A530 pedals, Blackburn rack (also got Orkney panniers), Cateye Strada Wireless, couple of Knog lights (frog on the front, skink on the back) even manged to get the SKS mudguards on after some trouble with the rear one.
Keeping the original tyres for now, but intend to change them next year.
Then, came the deluge.... rained every day last week, got soaked a few times on the commute, so was unable to get in some decent runs.
Then the weekend came, well was looking forward to a wee blast (ok, very slow climb) over the Campsies, but woke up with a very sore throat which got worse, and is now a fully blown dose of the flu, leaving me bed/sofa ridden, and to make matters worse have to walk by the bike which is in the hall all the time. I do give it a wee pat and tell her not to worry as soon I will be riding her all over Scotland.....
