Cancellara still in amarillo according to TV, so looks like they neutralized everything.

Poor Mosquera, he even can´t ride without help.

    I´m sad

Crash was within the last 3km, so no need to neutralise.

    Poor old EZ.
It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.
  • Can't believe I missed all of this. I hope I can find quality highlights.

Rest day now, after only four stages. But given the conditions today, it probably can't come soon enough for many.
  • Horner, (looks definitely down and out with CB at least) Mosquera and Kessiakoff seem to have got by far the worst of it.
Most of Saxobank came in together, so it's difficult to tell, but Matti B looked rough...

Riders OK: Sanchez and Basso and thats about it GC wise, uless you count Kirchen and Cunego.

  • Horner's blog from yesterday:

    Very interesting read.

His blog for today will be revealing.

  • Why is it always the interesting stages that sky+ decides to cock up??
  • Just turned on Eurosport in time to see the carnage.
If the "body count" stays as it is, it'll be a matter of luck.
Worst bunch crash I've seen in years!

Scheldeprijs this year was pretty enormous:

    Fuglsang injured

That'll be Saxo's GC hopes gone then.

He was the guy who hit the tanker. Looked nasty.

Weather's getting even worse by the look of it. 4 escapados have been caught... Westra trying to get away now. Chapeau to Vacansoleil.

Video of the Fugslang crash also on sporza (Renner rijden tegen vrachtwagen)

What's with the BR headline for the stage,

"Vuelta 4: Andrei Greipel wins bunch sprint"

Since when was winning a sprint out of a group of 4 a bunch sprint??
Note: the above post is an opinion and not fact. It might be a lie.

Their commentary was along those lines. Something about them being dirty.

  • His legs are worryingly large, particularly given his leg size a couple of years ago...
