Routes near Llantrisant?

Anybody know any good singletrack? The forest is good but its downhill has poor "easy options" and i dont jump! The run over to the windmills is ripped up by motorbikes and is ride for 100yds, then carry it, then ride a bit more..... you get the point! Fire roads are OK but boredom sets in :cry:
I know i have Avan near (and Cwmcarn) and the taff trail but whats in the valleys?


Any ideas?

    there's a lot of good rides over by castell coch, i haven't ridden them myself but a few lads in work go there all the time :D

    Just an update on this, i went up there for a ride today and all of the problems have been sorted, loads of stone gone in and much repair work has been done.

    WelshKev, Cheers mate, i know about that area but wanted more local rides.
