Loose Cranks

Hi all,
Last Month I had my LBS inspect my BB for a bit of TLC. They refaced the BB shell and regreased the bearings (truvative GXP ) and now I've discovered that the cranks have approx 1.5mm play in them where as previously they had none.
Can you face a BB too much or should I just snug the bearings down a bit more, I'd like to take it back to the store but my LBS is 3 hours away.

    Facing only removes a tiny amount of material, just enough to make the faces of the BB shell parallel, it should not have caused the problem.

    tighten up that bolt now.

    Thanks Andy, good link, I have the Park tools book here at home but it doesn't give the detail that the website does and yes Nick I'm off to the bike shed now.
