How do I fit a light to my rack?

I tried a google but all it came up with was bike racks for cars...
I want a way of attaching the light securely to the back of the rack, but nothing that came with any my rear lights allows me to attack the light to the rack.
I have a Smart 1/2 watt that I want to attach - linky

I did this today to my wife's bike.
I found an old reflector with a bracket and took it off and then sawed it down to make an L shape bracket and bplted it to the rack.
If you take the clip off the light you can then bolt the part that the light slides onto to the L shaped bracket.
It made a pretty stable light.Andy0 -
Cable ties?0

If it's not secure enough, use more cable ties.
Last winter I had 3 lights stuck to my helmet with cable ties. It looked really silly but it worked.
By the way - are those mud guards carbon fibre? :shock:0 -
Smart do a range of brackets for seatstays right upto oversize handlebars. Look on somewhere like CRC. I've fitted a smart lamp to a rack in this way and I've used the fittings from a crud raceguard too.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

That's exactly what I want, so Thanks, Redvee, had looked at Wiggle but not CRC, just a shame it's not in stock.0 -

I've already got ones like those and they do the job0 -
What rack is that? How much was it?0

Cost me about £27 from Tredz
I chose it because it was pretty lightweight, I didn't need the wide flat top for a rack pack as I've got a carradice saddle bag that I use, and it looks nicer and sleeker than traditional racks.0 -
If you're happy to drill the rack you could use this mount from CatEye.0

I would get the proper Smart rack mount as linked on CRC above, I have several of them myself and they work very well. They have four mounting points as you can see in the photo, only downside is you will only be able to use one of the two middle ones with that rack but I have done this myself before and it works fine, you might just have a little wobble from side to side with the light if you really twist it mounting with only one hole rather than two. You can break/cut off the side bits of the mount if you are not using them, they might otherwise stick out the side of such a narrow rack. I discovered this by accident of course.0
