I am upgrading my wheels and thought it would be criminal not to put some new tyres on them. I dont want to spend too much. Around £30 for the pair. I am looking for an all-round mtb tyre. Not too nobbly but still with decent grip and as light as the money will allow.
What do people suggest??
Thanks AJ

I'd spend that per tyre. If blowing 135 quid on wheels, it makes no sense to fit cheap wire beaded tyres.0

You might find them a bit XC oriented. Is that what you want? Quite narrow.0

I would think so. Sorry Im not too technical and dont know the gear too well. I do mostly XC incorporating some loose rocky DH, muddy single track and hill climbs. When I go for a ride I usually cover around 15-20 miles so a narrower tyre would make it easier going wouldnt it?
Are these decent then?0 -
Dunno. I'd get these as more of an allrounder:

IIRC you are 13st? i would look at 2.1 tyres or a 2.25."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Speed kings are again more of a racy tyre. ANd they come up narrow for a given size (I have the 2.3s)0

Personally id look at these for a good all rounder.

I've just put a pair of advantages on my bike.
there is a difference to what I'm used to, not so good over wet stones and roots, but they are faster rolling than my last tyres.
I tried running them at my usual pressures 30lb F 35lm R, but they were a bit too hard, so let some air out... then had a pinch flat on the front!
Not as grippy as michelin xcr extrem, but faster rolling.
I paid ~ £20 each.--
